What can hyperconvergence do for your company?

The use of so-called hyperconverged infrastructures  (of the acronym in English, HCI), is being pointed out as the next big step in the evolution of data center structures and also as the best means of using public clouds. In practice, in a hyper-converged environment, the pillars of resources are physically converted into standard servers, forming a powerful, software-defined environment designed to solve legacy IT challenges.

It is important to know the HCI approach for those who are becoming the industry standard. The VMware today holds over 40% of hiperconvergente infrastructure market and has shown growth rates two times faster than its closest competitors. With the largest volume of production customers in the world - around 17,000 -, a solid ecosystem and a comprehensive set of deployment options, the company has a lot to say about the use of HCI on the journey to the hybrid cloud.

The Linux administrator has an active role in patching, compiling, securing, and troubleshooting Linux servers in a heterogeneous environment. The professional performs system updates and server configurations.

To understand the best practices involved and what are the most common pitfalls in projects of this nature, Thiago Bessa , manager of solutions engineering at VMware; and Diego  Flaborea , VMware solutions engineer discuss the topic during a webcast on January 21st.

NoOps, the future of cloud computing

In 2009, consulting firm  Delloite  , curious about the trends that the beginning of  digital transformation  was causing in large companies and different sectors of the economy, created a study to survey the digital technologies employed at the time. Ten years later, the booming technologies in 2009 became obsolete  .  Regarding the maturity of  digital transformation  ,  Deloitte  says: “  To stay ahead of the market, organizations must work methodically to envision new innovations and possibilities, set their ambitions for the future and go beyond the digital frontier.” Sounds like a difficult task, doesn't it?  But not so much.  Many previous trends remain important today, have only been refined and continue to evolve.  These include analytics and  cloud computing  , for example. The use of  artificial intelligence  remains paramount, but it is now necessary to step in and completely re-...

How to identify and avoid false security alerts?

There are many security tools that tell us whether our system has been compromised by a variety of malware and what we can do to resolve this issue. However, it can also happen that we receive false threat alerts, which is what really causes our computer to be compromised. In this article we are going to show how we can do to recognize what we have mentioned and prevent it from happening to us. The problem of false security threats As we say, we can sometimes find messages that tell us that our device is infected with some kind of threat. They can tell us that we have viruses, that there is malware, or that we have some software that is spying on us. All of this can logically alert the victim. The important point here is that there are false security threats . These are messages that seek only to attract the attention of the user, who believes that he really has some variety of malware on his computer and...
