To reassign the WAN port to the LAN on the router (for example, the TP-Link WR841N router), you need to go to the router's web interface:
Go in your browser to 192.168.0.1 (or 192.168.1.1 or whatever address you set earlier)
Login and password are standard (indicated on a sticker under the router)
If you failed to log in through any of the above addresses, you can reset the router settings to factory defaults. To do this, on the switched on router, hold down the RESET button (located near the WAN port) and hold it for 7-8 seconds, then release it and wait for the device to reboot. After the reset, the router's web interface will be available at one of the addresses written above.
Once you get into the router's web interface, make sure once again that after resetting the equipment to factory settings, you do not have the Internet. Nothing has changed, so go to the "Network" - "IPTV" section
Change the mode from “Automatic” to “Bridge”
A drop-down menu will appear with a choice of port for IPTV and by default port 4 will be selected there. Connect the cable with the Internet to the port specified as a bridge (4 - port)
Computer networks are the basis of communication in IT. They are used in a huge variety of ways and can include many different types of network.
Click “Save” and wait for the router to reboot to reassign the WAN port
After rebooting the device, the status “No cable is connected to the WAN port!” Will remain in the connected state. After all, we really do not have a cable connected to the WAN port, but all network parameters will be received from the Internet provider and all devices on the network will be able to receive the Internet again.
The router provides for the use of two WAN ports, one for the Internet and the other for IPTV. In fact, the “Bridge” mode simply duplicates the WAN port to another LAN port. Thus, we have the opportunity to use a fully-fledged router with an inoperative WAN port.
I appreciate the information you pass down via your webpage, its such a relevant and interesting one imsu evening and weekend degree admission form
